4 ways to bring harmony to your day

With all the chaos happening all over the world, do you find yourself wondering how to get your own life back into alignment? Most everyone I speak with lately shares their own experience of pandemonium and being more confused than usual. Today’s message will hopefully help you reinstate some harmony in your private little Idaho. Not all tools suit everyone. So here are four options to choose from.

Four ways to bring harmony to your day.

1. Just stop.

When life is particularly frenetic, you may find that taking a time out is a wise choice. It’s counter intuitive in our fast-paced, action-oriented culture, yes. Yet this is just what the doctor orders when our bodies are out of alignment. Ensure you treat your mind with the same kindness. Give yourself permission to Not. Do. Anything. You may be pleasantly surprised at how quickly this little respite can help you reset and regain your footing.

2. Shift to play mode.

There is a lot of scientific evidence that play does a mind good, shifting dull or frenetic emotions into a new state of joy - one of the highest possible vibrations we experience.

Find something that you truly love to play with, the more childlike the better, and spend a few minutes just allowing yourself to let loose till bliss takes over.

3. Imagine better.

As humans, we have the remarkable capacity to shift much of what we experience by simply controlling our thoughts. Where we place our attention, energy flows. So simply chose to feed a new thought, a better one. Think of a favorite memory, one in which you felt loved and full of joy. Close your eyes and sink deeply into the memory as if you were there again, back in time. Spend as much time as possible you can awarding yourself the opportunity to enjoy this moment all over again, in all your senses.

4. Stop competing.

One of the most disruptive behaviors of all time is competition. Trying to outdo someone else or keep up with another’s pace is destined to break you down. Today, vow to be you, going at your own pace. So much of imbalance is caused when you try to be someone you are not. Take a moment to pause and reflect if this may be your truth and chose better.

Incremental improvements help you win the day.

In each example, notice how much better (even if only slightly) you feel having done one of these four approaches. A life of beauty and joy happens when you decide to take charge of the small things within your control. Step by step, moment by moment.

You got this! These simple approaches can be life-changing. Don’t give up on you. You were meant to do amazing things! When life gets tough, don’t give in. Make the necessary calibrations and keep committed to forward momentum. Winning the day is all about small steps in the right direction.
